We are closing in on the end of the 0.4 release. The bug fix rate has been strong and we are on track for our October 26 date. Whew!
By then, I will be carrying a version on my laptop which can do live demos of sharing information between two different calendars via a WebDAV server. I will be giving a talk at EDUCAUSE on Thursday, October 21.
Plans for the 0.5 release are shaping up nicely. The focus will be on adding features to make the calendar bare-bones usable. This will include creating, editing, and deleting calendar events, working with daily and weekly views, navigating by day and week, collaboration on shared calendar allowing multiple multiple users to read, create, and edit events.
We will be adding more the email client, features like attachment handling, but email will still not be at the "dog food" level. There will also be significant improvements in visual and UI polish, performance, reliability, and reduction of the download footprint. Details here. 0.5 is expected to be completed by the end of January.

Glad to hear that Chandler is starting to become a functional product. I look forward to it. I wonder if any of the developers are familiar with David Allen's getting things done I am not affiliated with them in anyway, and how difficult it would be to implement a getting things done type organizationing setup in Chandler.

Yes, you'll see a lot of influence of David Allen in Chandler.
